A Paradise Springs Wedding Filled With Faith, Joy, and the Kind of Love That Feels Like Home
Some weddings are beautiful.
Some weddings are emotional.
And then there are weddings like Ashley and Gilbert's, where every moment feels intentional, every smile feels genuine, and you walk away knowing you witnessed something far bigger than a wedding day.
Set among the towering pines of Paradise Springs in Oakhurst, California, their wedding felt like stepping into a peaceful little corner of the world where nothing else mattered except the two people standing at the center of it all.
From the very beginning, Ashley and Gilbert's relationship was marked by a deep connection, unwavering support for one another, and a love rooted in faith. Spending time with them during both their engagement season and wedding day made it clear that what they share goes far beyond romance. They genuinely enjoy each other. They laugh together. They choose each other over and over again.
One of my favorite things about their wedding day was how naturally every moment unfolded.
There was no pressure to perform for the camera. No forced smiles. No perfectly curated moments.
Instead, there were quiet forehead touches beneath her veil, stolen glances during portraits, laughter around the sweetheart table, and the kind of joy that can't be posed.
The forest surrounding Paradise Springs created the perfect backdrop for their portraits. Golden sunlight filtered through the trees while the peaceful setting allowed them to simply slow down and enjoy being together. Some of my favorite images from the day happened when they weren't thinking about the camera at all. They were simply present with each other.
One of the things I will always remember about this wedding was how many people came together to support them throughout the day. Weddings rarely go exactly according to plan, and this day was no exception. Yet through every unexpected moment, there was so much grace, kindness, and love surrounding them.
That's what made the day so special.
Not the details.
Not the timeline.
Not even the beautiful venue.
It was the people.
It was the way Ashley and Gilbert looked at one another.
It was the joy they carried.
It was the presence of God woven throughout the entire day.
Years from now, I hope these images remind them of more than just what their wedding looked like. I hope they remember how it felt.
The peace.
The laughter.
The excitement.
The certainty that they had found the person their soul loves.
